The 2024 championships sees the top-ranked swimmers in Britain race against each other to be crowned British summer champion and two current BSSC swimmers were invited to compete.
Dylan Davenport, 15 year age group, came 10th in the 50m Freestyle final in a time of 25.55 seconds, having achieved a personal best time of 25.36 to secure his place in the top ten in Britain. He also came 15th in the 100m Freestyle in a time 55.32 just outside his PB.
Ella Greatbatch, 16 year age group, was 13th in the 200m Breaststroke in a time very close to her season’s best.
Recent BSSC alumni Kirsty Neill, 17 year age group, also had a successful championships, securing a personal best time to come 5th in a 200m Breaststroke final where bronze to 6th was decided by 0.22 seconds. She also was 10th in the 100m Breaststroke and 20th in the 50m Breaststroke.
