After winning rounds one and two in February and March, it was all to play for as the team headed to the Final at Hitchin Swimming & Fitness on Saturday 25th April.
After 43 events from swimmers aged 9 to 18 – including 50m and 100m individual events and team freestyle, medley and squadron relays – the Club finished top of the League by 16 points, above competition from Berkhamsted, Royston, Letchworth, Hitchin and Ware. Club Captains for the 2025/2026 season, Oliver Tom and Zoe Opiyo, collected the winner’s pennant on behalf of the Club.
This win means that BSSC will be promoted to Division One next season, where they will join Hertfordshire’s top swimming clubs including Hatfield, City of St Albans and Watford. Royston Swimming Club finished in second position overall, and will also be promoted to Division One.
