Welcome to our 2024 Regional Qualifier 3ER240144
On behalf of Harlow & Bishop’s Stortford swimming clubs, we are delighted to welcome competitors to Harlow LeisureZone for our 2024 Regional Qualifier Open Meet. We are grateful to LeisureZone’s staff and management and to our sponsors, referees, officials and volunteers, without whom this meet could not be organised, particularly all our helpers who do not have a swimmer here today. Your efforts are highly appreciated. Welcome again to our closest friends and competitors in local clubs who support us every year. These local galas provide a competitive springboard for success. We hope you all #swimfast and enjoy the event.

Harlow & Bishops Stortford 2024 Regional Qualifier (3ER240144)
Entries are now closed for the inaugural Harlow Penguins and Bishop’s Stortford Swimming Club 2024 Regional Qualifier Open Meet, taking place on Saturday 23rd March 2024 at Harlow Leisurezone Swimming Pool, CM20 3DT.
The following events are available for ages 9 and above:
- 400m Freestyle
- 200m all events
- 100m all strokes
- 50m all strokes
Planned timings are:
- Session 1: Warm up 12:30 for a 13:30 start
- Session 2: Warm up (provisionally) 17:30 for a 18:30 start

BSSC Spring Open Meet (3ER200086)
Please be aware that following the Government’s guidelines on the need for physical distancing we have reluctantly decided that we have to cancel our Spring Open Meet.
Whilst falling short of banning meets, Swim England’s statement last night gives strong guidance on how we should treat meets with swimmers from other clubs. We are clear that we have a moral responsibility to protect swimmers, spectators and volunteers alike.
We appreciate that this decision will be unwelcome by some. We are aware just how many hours swimmers have trained to compete in competitions.
Once again, we are deeply sorry for the decision that we have had to make. We wish swimmers all the best for the rest of the season.
Bishop’s Stortford Swimming Club hope to see you again soon in happier times
