BSSC holds an annual Club Championships where members can compete in multiple events against their training partners to be the BSSC champions for that season. Presentations for Top Boy and Top Girl in each age group are then made at a separate awards evening, where members come together to celebrate the successes of the past season, with some very special trophies awarded by the coaches for outstanding performances.
In 2023 BSSC revamped the awards system, so that ten trophies were awarded to one person per age group in each gender category based on the number of points achieved from their races at the Club Championships in October. Five Coaches Trophies were also awarded based on attendance, dedication, effort, mental strength and sportspersonship.
Many of the trophies awarded up to 2022 have had a long history with the club and we have an online trophy record that you can explore. The historical record book was updated in December 2023 to show trophies that were auctioned to members and a new record book started for the trophies established in 2023.

2022 Club Championships Results
Congratulations to all our swimmers who took part in our 2022 Club Championships. We had three nights of great racing and it was brilliant to see everyone enjoying themselves.
We’d like to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who helped make the three nights a success. We can’t run these events without members stepping up to help as officials and volunteers.
